How do we deal with the pushy "hogsellers"?

Some people offer their wares (mostly walking sticks and clay animals) for sale in Main Road. Some of them may be quite "pushy" in their manner while they try to negotiate a sale, whether you are on foot or in your car. Your best bet is to make your decision, and then be firm about it; simply walk or drive away if you decide not to buy. Do be reasonable about prices; parting with a few Rands more will make very little difference to you, but it will make a big difference to the seller. Do not give money in response to begging.
